Badgerland Water Ski Shows On Okauchee Lake

There are few things that say summer in Lake Country quite like spending an evening on the water, and the Badgerland Water Ski Show Team is giving you four more chances to catch its high-energy show on Okauchee Lake this season.

The championship-winning team will perform in front of Smoke on the Water and Foolery's on Okauchee, giving spectators the option to watch from shore or make an evening of it on the lake.

The shows are free and family-friendly, making them an easy addition to a late-summer evening in Lake Country.

Where to Watch

One of the best parts of the Okauchee shows is that there are several ways to take them in.

Spectators can watch from the waterfront at Smoke on the Water or Foolery's on Okauchee. If you're already out enjoying Okauchee Lake, you can also watch by boat from the designated viewing area on the water.

More Than 40 Years of Water Skiing in Lake Country

Badgerland Water Ski Show Team has deep roots in the Lake Country area.

The team was formed in 1983 when two existing ski teams - the KeeWees of Lake Keesus and the Nagawautics of Lake Nagawicka - joined forces.

During its early years, Badgerland performed on Lake Keesus and Lake Nagawicka before expanding to other local waterways. The team performed on Silver Lake in Oconomowoc from 1985 through 1987 and later brought shows to the Fox River at Frame Park in Waukesha.

In 1999, Badgerland returned to Oconomowoc with performances at Fowler Park on Fowler Lake. Today, the team continues its Lake Country tradition with shows in Oconomowoc and on Okauchee Lake.

And this isn't simply a local exhibition team. Badgerland competes at the regional, state and national levels. The team won the Division 2 Show Ski National Championship team title in 2024.
